This is the part of any project that I like best!
My creative journey becomes more physical as I reach for the circular weaving hoops and my trusty Bernina sewing machines. My time moves away from the drawing desk and sketchbook pages into a space that allows more movement and freedom and has recently become my second home - this space is my work shop!
From the artwork sketches, I create imagery that informs my stitch direction, and I allow the fibres to flow over my created 3D frame-work of crossed yarns that have been held under tension.
This snippet of my process is all I would like to divulge, as I have spent many a long hour perfecting my techniques, but here are a few supporting photos.
