SJ's
Projects
SJ Harper is an artist who draws with fibres to combine traditional crafts with contemporary yarns.
She creates evocative installations that stimulate conversation translating unspoken words, into physical forms.
3 Sisters
The 3 Sisters is a large-scale installation.
A combination of descriptive words of loss and grief, collected from her own sisters following the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Currently on view at Birmingham Cathedral, Birmingham UK, shortly moving to The Museum of Carpet, Kidderminster UK.
Wherefore ART Thou?
The Birmingham Royal Ballet celebrated the Company's premiere of Radio and Juliet with the Wherefore Art Thou? project.
Fragility
"Fragility" becomes part of the "3 Sisters" series of fibre-art installation, as her exploration with emotion and textiles evolves into art pieces. Exhibited recently at The Broderers Exhibition, in London "The Art Of Embriodery".
